OS Installation Project Questions and Notes

  1. Identify each of the input devices and output devices you used in this project. How were they used to get data either to or from the computer in each case?

    2. The only input and output device used was the usb port and ethernet cord. The USB was used totransfer information to install an operating system on the laptop and the ethernet was used so the laptop is able to download the installation


  2. Identify each of the storage devices used in this project. What data is stored on each of these devices and how is it used?

    3. The USB was the storage device. Instructions to boot up the laptop are in the USB. Simply plug it into the USB port and turn on the laptop to boot it.


  3. Look up information about the processor you found in your computer. What year was it made? What other information can you find out about it (price, capabilities, etc.)? Include a picture of your processor on your web pageif you can find one.

    4. The processor was made in 2011. The average price would be around $300.


  4. What is application software? What is system software? Which of these did you install during this project?

    5. Application software resides above system software and includes applications such as database programs, word processors and spreadsheets. system software consists of low-level programs that interact with computers at a bsaic level. We installed an application software in this project.
